Physical Education

The Montgomery County Public Schools physical education curriculum prepares students for a lifetime of fitness. Opportunities are provided to explore the world of sports and recreational activities.Health and physical education begins with weekly instruction at the elementary level and moves into daily instruction at the middle and high school levels. Physical education standards are addressed by specialized teachers in grades K-10.

MCPS does not charge fees to students enrolled in required courses.Optional fees may be collected, but such fees may not be connected tothe successful completion of a course.
