Montgomery County Schools recently launched an updated website that includes improved functionality and a cloud-hosted client. To access the new site, users only need to visit www.mcps.org. Some web browsers may take several hours to see the changes.
“Our communication and technology teams have been coordinating this effort for the past year,” said Superintendent Brenda Blackburn. “The result is a sophisticated web presence that represents the professionalism of our school division.”
“Our website is the go-to source for parents and members of the community when they have questions about the school division,” said Brenda Drake, public information officer. “Our hope throughout the development of this site was that information would be easier to access.”
Both the communications and technology departments coordinated this effort, in conjunction with experts in the local community who provided input and guidance.
The new site is hosted by Sharp School. SharpSchool is a leading provider of K-12 web and mobile solutions for schools and districts and provides website, design, mobile and email solutions for over 4,500 schools and districts.
